Pelumi Nubi Just Drove Solo From London to Lagos and She’s Already Planning Her Next Trip

In a remarkable achievement,  British Nigerian travel creator Pelumi Nubi) has made history as the first Black woman to journey solo from London to Lagos.

Her extraordinary odyssey, driven by unwavering determination, concluded with her triumphant arrival at the University of Lagos last weekend.

From the streets of England to the vibrant markets of Lagos, Pelumi meticulously charted her course through Europe and West Africa, immersing herself in diverse cultures along the way. She navigated through countries like France, Spain, Morocco, and beyond, overcoming obstacles and savoring triumphs at every juncture.

Pelumi's journey isn't just a testament to human resilience —it's a beacon of hope for anyone willing to step out of their comfort zone. And her decision to donate her trusty vehicle, lovingly named Lumi, to the Lagos State Museum? Well, that's just the cherry on top-a reminder to all of us to embrace the thrill of exploration. With Oremitravels powering her adventure, Pelumi's voyage stands as a powerful reminder of the endless possibilities that await those brave enough to chase their dreams.

The journey wasn’t all that seamless, Nubi says. “It was difficult juggling multiple things and wearing multiple hats. I often felt lonely as well. Missing home, missing familiarity. I mean, I was constantly on the go; quick hellos and quick goodbyes. But this is something I’ve always wanted to do and none of that deterred me. I might do Lagos to South Africa next. The adventure never stops.”
